your very own duck
Would you like your duck painted? Send in an idea, or a thumbnail. If I like the idea, I'll paint it. I like literary references too, and am painting "Heart of Duckness" this very moment.

light to duck
"Light to dark" is actually a watercolour painting technique. Honestly, I paint from dark to light, but "Duck to Light" just doesn't do much on the self-amusement scale. "Light to dark" also describes how the eye responds to a visual object.
I paint with two very dissimilar rhythms. Slowness in classical technique based on multiple layers of underpainting and glazing. Frenetic in confronting the canvas, without a clear destination. The journey is usually long (from weeks to months), and always hazardous. The painting takes its own shape, and the ruins of earlier layers are always present.
